The Gavel Trophy Golf Day Raises Thousands for Local Charities!

Wilsons Auctions’ 11th Annual Corporate & Charity Golf Day featured a return to the stunning Palmerstown House Estate in County Kildare on Friday 2nd May 2025.

Over 160 attendees from diverse sectors across Ireland started the morning with a delicious complimentary breakfast, generously provided by Close Brothers Motor Finance. Energised and ready to go, they then honed their skills on the driving range and putting greens, making the most of an hour-long warm-up.

Upon the blast of the shotgun, teams swung into action for a thrilling scramble event. A standout moment came when John Fitzpatrick from A&D Used Cars delivered a spectacular hole in one!

After their 18 holes were complete, the teams retired to the clubhouse for an evening of entertainment with comedian Willa White, live music and event prize giving.

Congratulations to Škoda Ireland for clinching the Wilsons Auctions Gavel Trophy for 2025 – a well-deserved win after narrowly missing out on the trophy in 2024. Paddy Dunne of A&D Used Cars achieved the Longest Drive on the day.We were delighted that the Charity Auction, led by Ricky Wilson and Jason Delaney, helped raise further vital funding for The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation and The Stephen Moylan Foundation.

When asked for comment, Dublin's branch manager Jason Delaney said, " We’re delighted with the success of this year’s Annual Corporate & Charity Golf Day, which has raised vital funds for our chosen charities. A huge thank you to all involved, from our sponsors to each participant, for their generosity and support."
