Wilsons Auctions receives approval by The National Association of Motor Auctions across all 10 Auction Centres

Showing continued commitment to vendors and customers, Wilsons Auctions is delighted to announce that their 10 Auction Centres across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have been awarded the latest certificates from the National Association of Motor Auctions (NAMA).

Creating transparency and clarity for its customers, Wilsons Auctions has been valued members of NAMA for over 30 years.

The NAMA grading system, which was launched in the UK in 2013, aims to provide a better understanding of the condition of used vehicles to both buyers and sellers, leading to a more accurate market selling price. Developed in collaboration between NAMA and its members, the system has been widely adopted across the automotive industry.

Last year, NAMA announced that its used vehicle condition grading scheme received the King’s Award for Enterprise.

The King’s Award for Enterprise is highly coveted with just 200 initiatives being presented for consideration each year. The award will be physically presented by His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for Greater London to the NAMA executive board at their Great Portland Street head office in London. This will be followed by a winner’s reception hosted by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace planned for the summer.

To date over 10 million vehicles have been graded by the scheme and it is now recognised on the world stage with other remarketing associations in Europe and Australia keen to learn more about its workings. With 90% of used vehicles being sold through auction using the scheme it has become an invaluable support to the buying and selling process.

"The whole vehicle industry strongly relies on this grading scheme when it comes to buying and selling vehicles at auction. We believe that transparency and fairness are crucial in building long-term relationships with our customers, and the NAMA system is a key part of achieving that goal,’ explains Ricky Wilson, Director and Auctioneer at Wilsons Auctions.
