Rankings go live for NI’s Top 100 Companies 2023

Wilsons Auctions is extremely proud to be placed in the 2023 Belfast Telegraph Top 100 Companies.

The annual report in partnership with Grant Thornton outlines the ranks of Northern Ireland’s most successful companies in order of pre-tax profits.

Wilsons Auctions sits at number 80, bettering 2022’s placing of 88.

Richard Gillan, Grant Thornton’s Managing Partner, said: “The Top 100 always provides a unique insight into Northern Ireland’s business landscape, showcasing the exceptional talent and resilience of local business leaders.

The eagerly-waited chart will reflect how companies recovered from the impact of Covid-19 and lockdowns, and how for some, it became an opportunity to boost sales. It will also reflect how they have coped with the continued impact of Brexit and both the benefits and downsides of the NI Protocol.

Peter Johnston, Group Operations Director at Wilsons Auctions commented, “We are delighted to feature once again in the Top 100 Companies listing, and importantly to have improved on last year’s placing. There are 120,000 registered companies in Northern Ireland, so to be placed at number 80 is a great achievement and testament to the hard work put in by our great team. We continue to reinvest in the business to improve our infrastructure, and footprint, to put us in a firm position for the future”.

As the largest independent auction company in the UK and Ireland, Wilsons Auctions hold over 3,100 auctions each year, offering every category of asset from cars and vans, plant and machinery to global property and general goods. It also has the expertise to deal with more luxurious goods including planes, yachts, gold bars, supercars, designer goods, prestigious watches and more recently expanding its offering to cryptocurrency.
