£1 million furbishment for Newcastle

Wilsons News

Wilsons Auctions is investing £1 million into its Newcastle site with an extensive refurbishment.

The new-look site will offer a total upgrade for both staff and customers, with a complete rebuild of the site resulting in new offices, a spacious reception area, first floor auction area and new restaurant.

Due for completion this July, the work being carried out over the coming weeks will result in significant investment into the local trade and construction industries.

The refit comes just months after Wilsons Auctions acquired the former SMA Remarketing Centre from British Car Auctions in February 2016 along with its Maidstone site, bringing the number of branches across the UK and Ireland to a total of eight for the auction company.

Speaking of the investment into the site, Wilsons Auctions Branch Manager, Nigel Binks said, “This is a very exciting time for Wilsons Auctions Newcastle with £1 million being invested into our facilities. The work is due for completion in a matter of weeks and we look forward to revealing this extensive upgrade.

“We are dedicated in offering the best in quality service for both customers and clients and this investment we feel will offer a first class experience for everyone including our staff. It is very much business as usual at the site but we would like to thank everyone for their patience and continued support as the work is currently underway,” he added.

Wilsons Auctions Newcastle is one of the group’s biggest sites with 65 employees and offers approximately 20 auctions per month across cars, commercial vehicles and plant and machinery.
